When she is not busy teaching mathematics to high school students in Louisville, Kentucky, Jackie loves spending time behind her torch making glass beads.
Whether she is working at her home studio or sharing 'torch time' with her bead buddies, the Monday Night Marvels, at Bonnie Blincoe's studio, the hum of the torch and the magic of the flame takes over. Molten glass glides onto the mandrel and creativity is unleashed! Every beautiful bead has a humble beginning as a combination of sand, potash and lime!
Lampworking gives Jackie a creative outlet and helps her share her love of glass beads with others.
